The links below will take you to birds that we currently have available for sale. To help you sort through them, we have divided them into several groups:
Bargains - When available, these are birds that are offered at less than what we consider their fair market value. Lots of factors can contribute to why we would discount them; the shipping season may be coming to an end and we might want to clear out our inventory before going into the winter. Or, perhaps we have some old proven stock birds that have a few good breeding years left.
Reasonably Priced Birds - As explained under Sales, we sell the majority (about 70%) of our birds at a base price of $250 which includes shipping. Another 25% are sold off our proven pairs and these will run from $400 to $750.
Test Graduates - This is where the smart money shops. Birds in this section have graduated from our very demanding test program. Typically they will be in the top 25% of their test group. The vast majority of these are priced $150 over their normal price. So, a bird that would ordinarily sell for $250 will usually sell for $400 if it is a graduate of the test program. The top 2% of each test group are individually priced. Why do we say “this is where the the smart money shops”? Read our article “Bred for Stock”.
Crème de la Crème - To be brutally honest, most people should not buy birds from this group. The other groups represent much better values and with the investment of time, they will most likely get you to the same point. Beginners, absolutely, should not buy from this group (if you don’t understand why, read “Tips For Beginners”). The very special birds in this group are intended for experienced and serious fanciers who want birds from the very top of the sport.
