Like a lot of people, I think the whites and light grizzles are beautiful birds. I have always wanted some, but there just isn’t room here for birds that are merely pretty. This past summer I came across a very nice white cock that had won 5 races. His nestmate brother had also won 2 races. They are down from the “Bingo” blood of Hapyco Lofts. I was able to obtain the 5 time winner and his sister, along with a very nice Peeman white Grizzle hen that is a double grand daughter of Jos Thone’s “Meeuw” (Sire of 5 first place winners). This spring we were able to add a son of “Pitbull” (5 X 1st). My plan is to breed the white gene into my best performance lines and establish a new line of performance whites that can hold there own on race day. I know there are a few others out there who have already done this, but this is my attempt to do the same thing. For the most part they will be mated to Zoontjens in 2002 and extensively test flown. Only the cream will be retained for the next generation. Stay tuned. . . |
